A full workshop enables us to create or repair jewelry that is special to you. We can build a piece by hand or take an existing piece and re-build it into something else. Need a ring resized? Broke a chain? We can help!
The following describes in more detail the work we offer:
Hand wrought means that we took materials and formed it into a piece by hand. This could mean melting metal down and rolling it out or using stock sheets of metal. We don't use laser engraving or laser cutting for texture. Our hand wrought pieces are just that, HAND wrought.
Wire weaving is much like it sounds. Metal is shaped as a frame of sorts around a stone. Meanwhile smaller wire is woven in various patterns to make beautiful, artistic designs. Ends are secured via welding.
A rebuild means an existing piece was altered in some way. For example, this photo features a 14k gold earring stud that was re-built into a ring. Re-builds are a wonderful way to preserve heirlooms that have broken, lost their match, or aren't quite the right style for the wearer.
Resizing means that a ring either goes up or down in size to fit the wearer. When resizing a band or ring with settings, we look at the best possible way to accomplish the task and discuss with you the process.
This video features a palladium ring being sized up to a 5.75. This process takes a lot of work to get the ring looking it's best. This service includes polishing and cleaning as well as checking the prongs to make sure everything is secure.
